Cool??

Many days ago my sweet 6 year old Jellybean told me that when he grows up and is a dad that he wants to marry his little sister. "Really? " "Yes. Because I love her."

Awww! But wait it gets better.....

A few days later my same little boy informed me of what he planned to name his children. Sandy and Patrick Star. Oh, and Godzilla. Yep. Very cool.

He's Done.

My boys have all been in school for a week. My oldest is already bored out of his mind. My Blonde son has gobs of homework (make a plantation, write a letter, info. on whaling, etc.) all due on Wednesday. My freckled boy only remembers what he had for lunch... and all he ever wants is tuna fish. And last but not least my youngest beautiful boy told me this morning that he has had enough and doesn't want to go back.

Man. It's going to be a long year!

Just say NO!

I found out that Kindergarten is starting TODAY. Not on Tuesday like I have been planning all week. I put the entire idea out there and I even took a vote and by a unanimous landslide decision I have decided that Jellybean will NOT be going. So there!

Can you hear it?

Shhhhh.... it's so quiet. Isn't that beautiful? The only noise I can hear is the cricket outside somewhere and the ever present whir and clink of the dryer (still the replacement one but who's paying attention to that?)

Today is, of course, the first day of school. Brownie drove the Blonde one to school and they were out of the house by 7:15am. I drove Squish to school and goodness was he excited to unload all his new school supplies and hang up his backpack. (He is hook #12 by the way.)
Jellybean wanted to go and say "hi" to his new teacher but I told him we would see her in a few days. He starts next week... don't ask me why.
He is dying to be able to load all of his supplies into his backpack. It is almost like Christmas except without the wrapping paper.
I admit I cried when the boys all left me today and I will cry when Jellybean starts next week. I am a wimp. It takes me about three days to adjust to my boys being gone... but in the mean time I do enjoy the silence.
