Happy day!

On May 27, 2008 at 4:28 am my sweet beautiful (and only) daughter made her way into this world. She was determined to arrive and nearly came at home on her Daddy's brand new matress. :) She weighed in at a massive 5 lbs 4 oz and was 18" long. She has a thin (instead of a full) head of dark hair and looks a lot like her youngest older brother. Pictures to follow.

Update..

According to my OB... I have an infection in two places but only in one lung. I am on antibiotics for about 10 days and if this doesn't take care of the bronchial-phneumonia then she plans on placing me in the hospital for 7 days of intraveinous antibiotics. I laughed at her.

Yesterday and the day before I had to go and receive steroid shots in my big bottom to force Mikayla's lungs to develop faster. The doctor is planning on her coming the last week of May if not before. I bought her some little tiny socks so I guess she can come if she is ready.

They did an ultrasound and determined that the baby is about 4lbs 4oz and if she can keep cooking until the end of May she should be around 6lbs. They also told me she has hair!! I am so excited!!!

Anyway... that is the most recent news.

I thought the boys would save me money...

Prom expenses to date.... or in other words Holy Cow!!

My son started out with $256.00 from his week at Boilermasters... watch how fast it disappeared. Amazing!

$256.00
- 26.00 tithing
- 136.00 tuxedo rental (he is very handsome though so maybe this is okay?)
- 27.00 wrist corsage (she is wearing a strappless dress... ugh!)
- 45.00 ticket for prom
- 50.00 dinner (just a guess)
- 69.00 photos... still waiting for her to decide so we can write the check
= -$97.00

I have suggested to my son that he might need to go back to work for a few days and make up the extra that he owes me for this delightful evening. Instead he has chosen to do random pointless chores that I come up with. And I thought he was so smart.

My lungs....

I have finally been diagnosed with bronchial-pneumonia. Basically this means that I have an infection in both of my lungs... most likely in more than one area. All it really means is that I cannot breathe, cough far too often, take lots of pills and wet myself. Also it is attempting to push my daughter out of my body before it is really time. Great.
