Dresses anyone?
The blessing was beautiful and my daughter was so very darling in her blessing dress. I had been slightly concerned that she would out grow the dress before Sunday arrived. Mikayla seems to grow by the minute and I wasn't sure what I would do if the dress did not fit. I actually had gone "looking" a few days before my family arrived in town to try to find a back up white dress for her to wear if we had too. This was a great time.... um... not really. I am not a big fan of shopping. I have been told that I shop like a man. Get in... get what I came for... and leave. I remember as a teen shopping with my mother... hour after hour... rack after rack. Heaven forbid she found a garage sale (she went to several while she was here :)) Brownie and Hannah acompanied me on this journey to find a dress. I never found one. How am I supposed to know where to shop for little girl pretty things? Fortunately... we did not need a different dress since I never was able to find one. Hopefully by the time she is ready to go to the Prom I will have a little more of a clue where to shop.

Company coming...
My family is coming to town this week. What I mean is my mother and daddy are coming. On Wednesday. But the real grat thing is my Littlest sister is coming too! On Friday! She has never been here to see me before (granted she is coming to see Mikayla but still...)
Mikayla is being blessed on Sunday. One of the few "Mormon" rituals my hubby is okay with. She will be wearing a beautiful white dress which has been made for her by the hand of my most talented sister. I don't know if I ever thanked her... if not ... thanks! I have taken her picutre in the dress and it has made me cry.

I wish that my entire family could be here for the blessing (yes, even my brother that hates me) and could meet my precious daughter. She is amazing...

Not Again!!
Saturday was a glorious day in our world. The whole morning started out late because of our watching all the delightful fireworks that my hubby "dropped two bills on" (in English it means he spent $
200... are you kidding me?) Brownie had his allergy shot and I had sent my hubby to take him because I had been up all night with Little Mikey and was trying to dose in my chair.
200... are you kidding me?) Brownie had his allergy shot and I had sent my hubby to take him because I had been up all night with Little Mikey and was trying to dose in my chair. At the Doctor's office they gave my Hubby a hard time about not being the bio dad of Brownie... they have never cared before... so Hubby came home in a great mood. I should have heeded the warning signs.... BUT...
"Honey, can you help me? The dryer is acting funny." I had tried to look at it on Friday... we had turnage, fire and some heat but not enough. Well. My Hubby took off the back. The front. Oh, and the top. ... needless to say after many minutes and many, many curse words my dryer was fully broken. We moved it into Jellybean's room until such a time as I am allowed to call the repair man. ??

So... Hubby went to his work and "borrowed" the dryer fom there for me to use. Isn't he sweet?
Several loads later I went on our quad-monthly pilgrimage to Wal-Mart. Alone with the baby, while Hubby went and repired a water heater at a Red Lobster. I had just begun putting multiple random items into my cart (litter box, shampoo, baby clothes) when my Hubby called and said he and B were coming to "help" me. So... I put back a couple of items :) and was joined by them in the bread isle. We made it to the checkout counter without further incidents until B put a HEATH bar on the counter.
"How nice of you..." "No, its mine..." Hubby and son began a ten minute battle over who really was getting the candybar. I loaded the baby into her car seat while my Hubby "helped" and loaded all the groceries into the back of the Moose. We all got into our seperate cars and left. Hubby to find pizza and me heading home to the boys.
Two stop lights later... I realized I didn't have my wallet. I called the Hubby and asked him... when he responded with a very colorful word I knew my wallet was gone forever. :( We rushed back to Wal-Mart and sure enough... my wallet... that had been sitting in the front of the cart was gone... the Hubby remembers seeing it as he retuned the cart to its corral while he was bickering over the candybar.
Gone. Bye-bye. Super long story short.... I have decided to get a mans wallet with a chain.

Oh... yea. I am also not having my Hubby help me anymore either.
