Not raining today.

Our schools closed early yesterday for flooding. About a bazillion people drove past my house to get to the river. I did not make it down to look at it but you could hear it flowing if you opened the front door. Today though looks to be a beautiful day. Hopefully that was the storm of the season.

Trip.

My visit to Utah was much like the plane ride there and back. Bumpy the majority of the time with a few smooth spots. Ups and downs, if you will.
Ups: Friends, Ray, breakfast, Grandma Mc., cinnamon rolls.
Downs: Dinner and most everything else.
Yep. Memories!

Window Seat?

Today is my 9th anniversary of being married to my Hubby. I have to say that I am one of the lucky ones. We still like to be around each other and enjoy our times together. I know so many couples that struggle... I am so glad we don't. (usually)
My Hubby is giving me the gift of flight this year. He is flying the three of us home. My daughter gets to re-meet her two favorite Aunties and her grandparents. She will be meeting another of her favorite Aunties and her Uncles, who aren't bad either. :) I am most excited to get to show her off to MY grandma.
I think I have packed everything... there is no more room.
My only anxious moments come from the knowledge that I must leave my sons behind. I am trying not to cry at the idea. I have promised endless video game time and I am certain that they will be fine. Still.....

Just one Piece of Candy...

Halloween was quite the uneventful evening. Brownie deserted us and went to watch scary movies with Hannah. My Hubby took the three boys out (a dead pirate, a mutant turtle and a red power ranger). Princess Petey and I hung out here at home and passed out the sweets. (she was a little black kitty and I was not really anything.. the doorbell kept ringing so I never really got to dress up..) Blondie said they only went to like 15 houses. It was foggy and the littles got tired. Anyway. We had exactly 100 kids. The final goblin of the evening rung the bell just before 10pm. I would have given her the entire bowl of treats but the hubby was bothered that someone was out so late so he only gave her a small helping of sugar. I will post the picture of my gang one of these first days.
